Longfor Luchen: A Wabi-Sabi Inspired Model House

Bringing Nature and Artistic Evolution to Life

This project, designed by Cindy Jin, draws inspiration from the simple and poetic wabi-sabi style, a natural aesthetic popular in Japan. It combines the wildness of art and the vividness of nature to create a space that encourages emotional expression and the pursuit of true nature.

The Longfor Luchen model house, designed by Cindy Jin, stands out with its unique blend of art, nature, and functionality. Inspired by the wabi-sabi style, this model house captures the essence of simplicity and imperfection, creating a space that celebrates the beauty of nature and artistic evolution.

In the living room, dark and light colors collide, creating a captivating contrast. Dark green and Chinese red accents, along with leather sofas, bonfires, vessels, and sculptures, add a touch of sophistication. The wall, resembling a continuous wave, adds a sense of movement and energy to the space.

The kids' room, designed with a vibrant blue-green color palette, evokes a sense of innocence and vitality. Tatami mats and plush toys inspire children to explore and satisfy their curiosity, while creating an emotional connection with the world around them.

The dining room is adorned with green plants, adding a fresh and vibrant atmosphere. A futuristic organic material chandelier, resembling a floating cloud, creates a light and smooth decorative effect, elevating the space to new heights of elegance.

A revolving staircase serves as a visual extension, enhancing the flow and beauty of the space. It opens up possibilities for multi-space scene interaction, adding a dynamic element to the design.

The master bedroom, divided into two sections by top closed storage cabinets, exudes a sense of luxury and tranquility. Classic black, buckskin brown, graphite gray, and white tones create a timeless aesthetic. Soft lighting and art installations contribute to a warm and inviting ambiance, reflecting the natural mood of the space.

The study is designed to accommodate various functions, providing a versatile space for sharing, reading, communicating, displaying, and listening. It serves as a mental utopia and a spiritual haven, offering a sanctuary for creativity and contemplation.

Located in Chongqing, China, the Longfor Luchen model house was completed in July 2022. It seamlessly combines natural elements and artistic evolution, allowing residents to experience the vibrancy of nature without leaving the comfort of their homes.

As a testament to its exceptional design, the Longfor Luchen model house, designed by Cindy Jin, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This prestigious award recognizes designs that showcase creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life.

The Longfor Luchen model house is a true masterpiece, embodying the essence of the wabi-sabi style and offering residents a unique and inspiring living experience. It is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of art, nature, and innovation.
